Veterinary research
“VET analyzes” is a group of methods aimed at identifying and studying the causes of infectious diseases in both domestic animals and pets.
How do we do it? First, biomaterial is collected (feces, urine, saliva, blood), after which microorganisms are isolated from the samples, and the isolated pathogens are tested for sensitivity using antimicrobial agents.
The main advantages of this group of tests are.
1) specificity, which allows to establish the etiology of an infectious disease more accurately.
2) sensitivity, the results obtained help to identify different types of microorganisms, even if their quantitative composition in the sample is insignificant
3) the depth of the data obtained, which allows to determine the properties of microorganisms and prescribe the correct and effective course of therapy (antibacterial drugs, antimycotic drugs, bacteriophages, etc.)
